a rare survival of the 1960's. A lot of very sound advice packed into a small enough piece to be carried in one's purse or wallet. "When confronted by the Police: 1. Stay calm! Say what you need to then stop. 2. Never resist physically. Say it in words. 3. Don't talk, EXCEPT. To give your name and address, or if you happen to be in an unusual place at an unusual hour---then just explain and stop. . ." There is a great deal more. The W.E.B. Du Bois Clubs of America was national youth organization sponsored by the Communist Party and launched at a national convention held in San Francisco in June of 1964. They were prominent on campuses and at demonstrations of all kinds. At the end of the card: "REMEMBER: Stay Calm, Don't Resist Physically, Don't Talk, Know How to Reach a Lawyer in a Hurry!"
